This whole ‘we will punish you for leaving’ any game format is giving ‘DAD forcing you to eat those vegetables you refused to eat for dinner last night for breakfast’.
And meanwhile almost nothing is done to punish truly toxic players. Like it’s arcade. And I didn’t want to do another legendary round with a zenyatta. I’m sure they have the skills to make it, but I just didn’t want to take my chances. Its arcade. I left before the roles were chosen. And I wasn’t the first to leave, there was another leaver who got replaced. And my only options were to join or wait….
If there is no ‘backfill’ in queue and the game didn’t start yet, why am I locked out? You took away group finder, and you want to force people to play out games they don’t want to play, or punish them for the internet going out. The ONLY game mode that should have lock out penalties is COMP modes. Everything else should be FFA. No punishment for actions that are not malicious. Meanwhile it seems like toxic players are the norm, and no one makes call outs even if they have a mic.
