once again the new season of overwatch is a big disappointment. they promised a « rank reset » and all they did was erase the emblem on you’re profile like they have done in the past which now that we are talking about it the new emblems look terrible the minimalist approach is really not it. then we gotta talk about that green atrocity of weapon skin they gave us. a diamond skin or a like dark matter or like animated weapon skin would’ve been nice but no one wanted jade.

Well, they did adjust MMR slightly to align it with the rank you finished last season.
Then reset the ranks. So in theory, unless you do something crazy, or have changed skill dramatically. Then you’ll place pretty much exactly where you finished last season.
It was clear from the moment they announced it, that it was only going to be a cosmetic change.
But I agree, the rank icons on your profile screen are hilariously bad. And the jade weapons looks as cheap and tacky as the gold ones.

Very much prefer the old profile icons of OW.
Anything they’ve attempted to do in OW2 are just horrible so far.

If this is what you think. It becomes irrelevant when you keep giving them what they want.
If you interact with the game, talk about it, spend money on it… You’re doing exactly what they want
If you dislike it, uninstall, stop any interactions with it. Vote properly with your feet.
Correct.
Disliking one single thing/feature/change isn’t enough of a reason to stop playing a game, that is very odd behaviour. But you do you.

Btw, they send out questionnaires to players when they want feedback. They’ve done 5 or 6 since OW2 launched. They’ll probably let the dust settle and do another one later this season I’d imagine. They tend to be select players invited to do them though.

Why would I walk away. I’m enjoying the game and think the season 9 patch is an excellent step in the right direction.
Also only had maybe 1 or 2 “bad” games this season. It’s been good fun.
You don’t actually see much feedback on the forums.
