So we used to have the hero icon surrounded by a nice and pretty looking plate. Was great, and you would immediately have a sense of the time you invested in the game thanks to that. Now it’s a legacy badge on your profile, visible only if you go on your profile.
Now we have progression levels. The idea is I think way better than the initial level up system since it captures unique aspect for each characters. But why would you hide this in the profile instead of having this ON SCREEN where the previous level badge was ?! It’s pretty much a waste, because not only you don’t have the post match screen to upvote people and still have some stats displayed, and talk to people at the end, but you have to go through two different titles screens that are really a bother to escape.

As with a lot of things in this game, they are really only interesting to yourself. No one else is going to care about your account level, what skins you have, you hero progression, or even rank.
I’d say bring them back, but only show your stuff your end. The rest of the world doesn’t need to know.
I’d even quite like it if, no matter what skin you picked, you just showed as the default skin in other peoples PoVs. But that seems unlikely, they need to advertise skins.

Communism all the way… Common man, even in its best form, the fat man will use more soap to bath XD.
That being said I sometimes put away my gold weapons and pick a crappy skin. This game is a lot of psychology at times; get focused by stacks? put on rags; get dominated? put on the crown, dominate back.
Deception is part of the game I would argue. I used to be an eve-online FC back in like the golden days, biggest win was 400 vs 30 (it wasnt even all field battle, Im devious and Im proud of it). Thats why I also miscall my team heros if they say “gl hf”, as “cute genji” or such while they are a widow. Everything is a part of the game, as it should be.
We’re not playing the same game I think
It was to stop toxicity towards new players. Do i agree with it no do i understand it yes as when i played comp in ow1 and got a lvl 25 player on my team i would ither hope he was a smurf or get mad because the lvl 25 player couldn’t do anything… i melowd oit around the silver border with 3 stars and started helping and coaching the lvl 25s but it doesn’t chanhe anything
