This is how queue time is reducible

For a player, who played 10 tank games then wants to play one as dps, the queue takes 15 minutes. Just like for someone who starts their 11th dps match in a row.
But it would be fair, if the queue time was reduced after a (won) tank game. This could make many of us play tank and fill the hole. This doesn’t even mean that, you need to play tank or you are forced to wait one our. You know, we got many tank players.
I wanna give a big emphasis to that: Just the won games should have this effect. Otherwise some people would just throw the game.
This would be way more motivation than 25 coins or a loot box…
Piece of advice No 2: When we got a leaver in the first minute and the match get cancelled, don’t put us at the end of the queue. (This equals a half our waiting for one match!)

This is a horrible idea, please stop suggesting it. People shouldn’t be playing roles they don’t want to play just so they can get a match.

Why would you want a tank player on your team who sometimes plays DPS as the DPS instead of a DPS main?

I don’t think you got my point.
I don’t say it’s obligatory to roles you don’t want. But if this would be a thing, that could reduce the queue time for everyone, not just the players who “play roles they don’t want”.
When you play a card game, poker for example, sometimes you have to be a dealer. Nobody wants to be a dealer, but they do, to be a useful member of the community. Just like many of us don’t want to play tank but we could make some compromise. In my queue time I could play another match anyway…
The reason I want a tank player in my team is that I don’t want to wait 30 minutes for a match…
Don’t think if someone is not a tank main, they would throw the game anyway. That is why we have the rank system. You get the SR you deserve and you play on that rank.

Because, shocking, i know, some players are actually FLEX players and can do both.
There are some players out there, that in fact, play 1 match each normally because they get bored of playing the same role all the time.

:scream:

No but for real, I dont think there’s a way to lower DPS queues without creating “priority” queues or something like that.

the best way to fix this is through a compromise in which no one gets what they want…

E.G, keep role queue, in its 2.2.2 setup… but remove the choice of “tank, damage, support”, just 1 button, to "join queue, then the system decides what roles you will play for that match, and you can choose the heros of that role you want to play

this way, there are no “mains” everyone plays everything and everyone is a flex player… queue times reduce, and no one is really “happy” because everyone is treated equally

there you go, I fixed the problem, you’re welcome

the best way to “fix” it is not removing even more freedom but dumping the whole thing, which was not designed with the playerbase in mind that Overwatch has. The only way of ignoring customer demand in such a gross fashion is going to the gutter, Blizzard still has a bit of time to fix it yet, prior everyone moving on.

dumping the whole thing doesn’t solve the problem

peoples freedom led to wonky comps, sheet balance and unfair matchmaking/sr distribution

so what? let people sort out their “wonky comps” on themselves, bad players losing is the 1st principle of competition.

that’s the point, people didn’t “couldn’t” sort it out by themselves, because of selfish “DPS ONLY” people who refused to work with the team

players who were not necessarily bad got shafted because of peoples inability to work as a team, thus they would lose a match through literally no fault of their own

if people wont work together “the main point of overwatch” then in order to make the game work as intended people have to be forced to work together

the role queue isn’t doing much to mitigate it.
DPS players who cba to wait out their queue will still DPS but on other roles, selfish people who aren’t interested in working as a team still will lose your games because guess what - no rq of this world can change peoples mindsets or drive bad habits or selfishness out of them.

Sure, you can create a “team game” and eventually slash all its freedoms and fun for people who actually are capable of teamwork, essentially because the futility of trying to make solo/bad players work as team takes over.

so because we cant yet cure all types of c4ncer we should stop trying?

Yeah Kete’s a troll who got banned from the US forums for spouting this nonsense, and is the typical DPS player who can’t handle not being able to force people to meme 6DPS to a loss.

I mean, look at what people like him call that kinda crap, “freedom” or “freedom queue”, and yet when they have that “freedom” in QPC they still want it gone from the normal game because surprise surprise, he’s bunched in with the rest of them, and the freedom queuers can’t stand each other

I know, but like a wide eyed and bushy tailed little brat, I do enjoy tossing a few penuts through the bars at the obviously enraged monkey behind them every now and then

its very comforting to be able to lure people like him into a logic circle and watch them frustrate and fluster in a desperate attempt to wiggle out of it

You want to play with somebody like that, there’s a dude on the US called “megadodo” - I challenged him several times in the past to name a single difference between QP and QPC other than the achievements (and lack of RQ obviously).

He couldn’t name one, kept deflecting and didn’t like me calling him on it

disagree about c-ncer but we definitely should stop trying to make morons work together by introducing pointless, ineffective hard limits when the price to pay is removal of counter/flex play which the game originally was about, inability to pick heros depending on the map and horrid queue times for majority of the players.
If there are 2 tank busters on enemy team I want to swap ouf the tank role and pick something more useful for dealing with them, instead of feeding their ults.

so we should stop forcing citizens to abide by laws they may disagree with?..

stop forcing people to pay taxes that are used to fund projects they will never use or see the benefits of?

stop health and safty practices and let nature take its course? ( <-- I agree with this one actually)

the point I am trying to drill into you is “Just because its hard, does not mean it should not be attempted”…

and at the very end of it all, its not your game, its not my game, its not any of our game, its blizzards, they hold the rights to it, they hold the power, and they have told you in no uncertain terms “if you don’t like it, play something else”, they even gave you a mode that caters to exactly what you want which is QPC… and if you are so petty that you would argue that “Meh I don’t get SR in QPC”… then you sir are a donkey of the lower back region of the human form

You mean, you want to swap off a tank, onto a DPS, instead of working with the team and letting them deal with them.

You’re literally why 222 forced was needed. Everybody switched off tank and healer to go DPS, then expected others to go tank and heal instead.

Instead what you’d end up with is 6 DPS

are false equivalencies your only chance of a “counterargument”? We are not talking about laws or c-ncer, we’re talking about this game and where its going.

sure I never disputed their power, its their game and their business. All I do is voicing my opinion they gave me this forum for.

its not about equivalence, its about logical correlation…

regardless of the size or scale of the points I have argued, the logic of the statements correlate with eachother

that logic is thusly

“If (A) refuses to conform to (B) then ©”

translated - If people refuse to work as a team (in a team based game) Then Force them

translated - If Citizens refuse to abide by a nations laws (decided upon by a majority elected government) then punish them

translated - If Workers refuse to act safely thus causing them harm, introduce health and safety to force them to act safely

understand now?
