Hello OW developer team,
I am sure that I am not the only tank and support main player who has submitted frustrated comments on this forum. Many tanks have become unplayable in this season, and the new passive ability of tank getting healing nerf after being attacked is just unreasonable for both tank and support players. Moreover, the new competitive logos are just terrible, and I don’t understand the new design at all. Why? In conclusion, I am very very disappointed with all those changes, and I am one hundred percent sure that I am not alone.

I want to echo this. I’ve played Overwatch since day one, mostly as a support player, and I have never had less fun than right now. Healing now feels far less impactful to the point where its laughable at times, especially since the other players can run off on their own and heal themselves over time. Additionally, supports can never win a 1v1 anymore. With the larger health pools, all other heroes can easily take out a support in a 1v1. At least in the past as Ana I had a chance at beating a tracer if I hit a sleep dart and maybe had nade up. Now? I can do all that and its irrelevant. I got day time after time and if your team doesn’t react instantly you simply die, it hardly matters how skilled you are at dueling. It just… isn’t fun anymore. And if this is how new Overwatch is gonna be, I think I’ll be putting the game down forever.
Oh I forgot to add the massively increased hitboxes. Yet another reason why characters like Tracer now roll over supports. They almost can’t miss at this point, no matter the spread on their guns. Their rate of damage was increased massively through this change.

Yeah, fam. Hope blizzard can fix this soon. Hopefully.
in reality this passive is on dps, not on tanks
On one hand I agree that the dps need to have a better cut than the one who has the right tank, I think there has been too much responsibility placed on this single role. but on the other hand I also think that this passive DPS… paradoxically brings back the concept of off and main tank: the truly protective tanks with barriers and matrices automatically become better than those that mitigate hits with stress (roadhog, doomfist wrecking ball , etc.), solving nothing.
What bothers me most, however, is not so much the change in the DPS passive… but the total negligence in tuning the supports: their passive is terribly weak compared to how articulate the passives of the DPS and tanks are. or in any case we can see how much the main healers suffer who have great difficulty throwing utility into the battlefield. Moira first of all. For supports I would see at least a huge help on the quality of the utility, given that healing is mitigated by the passive dps:
- Moira should start analyzing how she can provide utility outside of “heal or damage”;
- Brigitte is objectively penalized by the slow pace of healing, at this point I would be inclined towards extra help to the shield (even just in terms of health or quality of coverage from negative effects);
- Lifeweaver is done making only healing bots, he needs to start making better use of advantages on the battlefield. I would opt for buffs to the quality of the petal platform, in my opinion it can be exploited better with further useful options;
- Illari really desperately needs help on the quality life of the pylorus, at the slightest focus it takes away too much of its healing potential and as a “dps” it is certainly not the best choice among the supports;

I also feel like the supports need more utility to offer if this healing debuff stays as it is.
Supports that only offer healing are very unrewarding to play right now.
It was impossible to keep reckless players alive as it was, now it’s impossible to keep anyone alive during a fight.
50 hp buff doesn’t feel like anything when the bullet sizes alone undo that. And then there’s the 20% healing nerf.
Which hits the supports with low and avarage healing the most. For example, baptiste and ana both do 70 hp per shot without the debuff. Which leaves around 55 hp per bullet. (Which is mercy’s healing per second before the debuff hits)
Poor zenyatta’s 30 hp per second is just 24. So he’s even more of a dps now. (Seeing that even soldier heals more than he does XD i feel that zenyatta should at least do an equal amount of damage. Around 90per second vs 48/60 with discord)
Of course the discord orb would need to be nerfed a little in that case.
So if anyone felt like mercy healed too little in previous seasons, just keep in mind that 55hp per second is now the new normal accross the board if you’ve been hit by a stray bullet.
All the three i mentioned are relatively good characters still since they have utility to offer apart from healing, but lifeweaver for example only does that same 55 points(with debuff) in 1.3 seconds. Which means around 43 hp per second, and he doesn’t even have any proper combat utility.
He can re position his team and help with getting to high ground, but that’s it.
For comparison’s sake, soldier heals 40 per second with the biotic field under normal circumstances.

I refuse to play supports or tank after this update… it feels terrible and even more frustrating
