IMO, they should just tackle this either of the two ways.
Make it so that if a leaver occurs, they lose 6x SR, on one else loses out.
Alternatively, theyâre banned for the season end of.
It is so irritating.
If they left because of a technical issue/defect, Blizzard should just fix it rather than leaving their customers to suffer.

You do get season bans for leaving, but you have to leave a few games.
You have to remember, they have no way of working out if its a DC, a rage quit or whatever, so they are all treated the same.
Ultimately it wonât affect you that much, yes you might be annoyed and lose the game. But if youâre playing enough games it doesnât really change much.
They really need to fix this bs. 4 people left from my team, so me and another remain, but we get lower ranks because of it⌠I hope they will do something about this for part 2 
As I will always say, yes it is annoying and yea Blizzard should look at it.
But if all you are worrying about in each game is SR/rank, you are set to fail. Focus on improving and these occasional annoying games will be just that, occasionally annoying.
You will win more than you lose and climb if you focus on tour game play.

What you sre claiming to do as a âprotestâ does nothing more than make you look stupid.
If it happens on such a regular basis that it is de facto impossible for you to climb - then no amount of âimprovingâ will get you to a point in which youâll get out of said hell, this obviously happen quite often - to a point in which people are stuck in SR.
Likewise rarily meetings players of higher SR are going to see you face the same low SR players meaning less chances to improve your play.
Secondly, a 5v6 or lower is almost guaranteed to be a stomp fest. Unless you have an exceptionally well synergizing party you are not going to win. What improvement can be had when you get killed immediately coming out of spawn - none thatâs what.
But you are focusing on 1 singular games.
I probably have 1 maybe 2 games affected by a leaver in each session⌠but that session is 15+ games.
So as long as I am improving those games will make very little difference to my overall record.
Yes, leavers are infuriating, but what can you do about it? You canât control there internet, you canât control their connection to the server, and you definitely canât control an angry player that no longer wants to play.
So, as annoying as it can be, you canât do anything about it, so just focus on you and what you can do.
gotta love claiming that other playerâs experience is unreal and and he knows everything better.
High rate is so high. But what should Blizzard do about people having bad internet? They are busy making a pointless overwatch2 so they can make more money.
