Throwers going rampant on weekends

hi there
i just run twice in a row into throwers, and both times they claimed i was the thrower. its really painful to play like this. both throwers were fresh accounts, probably trying to downrank.

the first one is really obvious, hes first playing hog and then ball (red team) and we lost this even tho the blue team had a leaver. also genji was doin a whole bunch of nothing.

the next one is not so obvious, he got into an argument with me claiming im trash cuz im not engaging forward when i was pushing the objective. he just stood afk then and let himself get farmed. (the support first playing ana then zen)
he ultet senselessly over an over again and again, he claimed i was the thrower and i was so bad etc…

i dont play that much, but this is pretty painful to play like.

This is more because it is end of season,

The game goes a little bit weird in the last week of the season.

You’ll get throwers deranking to start next season lower.

The odd cheater appears to boost a account.

The people who only do placements and are put in game far too high for their current abilities.

Been the same for a good few years. Not sure there really is a fix (apart from not having seasons)

Coughs

Cant say i remember that name in my games…

In the first one I wasn’t sure till they went Ball. But yeah, they gave up.

Second game, I kind of see what the Ana meant. You capped first, got through the choke then just stood on the cart. You should have pushed forward and taken the space. Them being a child about it is clear after, but you were playing the situation badly in the first place.

Not defending them, but your actions lead to them giving up.

i did fine. 3 ppl pushing gets the obj on max speed. also he didnt even mind to heal when he picked zen.

and how did my actions lead to them give up when all i did was playing it safe?
donkey

Correct.

But one pushing it with 5 pushing forward to pressure the staggered enemy team gives you a completely free push through most of point 2.

Also gives you a lot more ult charge when they finally group up and try to stop you capping.

Because they wanted you to be more agressive and you didn’t. That clearly annoyed them.

Not saying their reaction was right (they were very much in the wrong), but you could have played the map better.

Ultimately he wanted you to push, because it was the right move and he had your back.

He was wrong with his behaviour, and deserves a ban for his actions. But also, engaging forward was the 100% correct call and you not doing it was a bad call.

ive seen way worse rein plays. he did it just fine and dindt want to overextend.
he pushed good to the point tho and also defended good. when the enemy rein was enganging on attack with nanoboost, his ana refused to boost him aswell.

hes clearly not perfect but he already stated that he doesnt play that much.

he did just fine

i think i did as good as possible for thanks for the kind words i guess…?

I am not doubting that. I know I’ve played worse as Rein.

But a player threw… they should be punished.

Why, because the Rein didn’t listen to calls and act accordingly. Punish the throwing and learn a lesson.

Tell your team to push and take the space, that would have been the correct call as they were staggered.

are we playing the same game? most times its impossible to convince anyone to do anything i have in mind since everybody thinks he has the masterplan.
then blatantly throwing when people not obey is something completely different

I don’t know what rank you are in… But I play tank in Gold/Plat/Diamond games.

Even without comms, if you play aggressive people follow (aggressive, not feeding).

It’s the end of season blues. It happens every single time. I give up comp for a week to avoid it and just concentrate on trying out different heroes in QP. Nothing but leavers and throwers in those last 7 days.

Just play and improve.

SR means nothing, all about MMR, if people throw, well, you tried, you just need to improve. Throwers don’t really matter.

jokes aside, I hear you. There’s quite a lot of throwers in the game sadly. The only thing you can do is report them. Sometimes it works though! I’ve had plenty of report messages. It’s all you can do sadly.

Throwers are annoying.

But your first “joke” (no punchline though…) is actually correct and the way forward for people.

For delusional people like yourself, yes.

No need to be toxic.

I don’t like throwers either. But what can you do. Just get on with it.

It is “delusional” however to think shouting about it is going to do something.

Overwatch 1 codes are about $10, even less at times… people just DGAF on their 5th account, etc.
