I’m just tired of having to deal with a Genji almost every game.
Surprisingly, in Quick Play I want to practise heroes and take the game less seriously, and I don’t want to have an airborn prick yelling Japanese stuff and deflecting the CC we throw at him, or just dashing away when he’s in a bit of danger.
I can’t come back to the game that I once loved because of the excessive amount of Genji players that slowly tilt me game after game, leading me to stop playing after 4 or 5 games because I’m tired of dealing with him.
Before you all start giving me tips on how to counter him, I appreciate them but I already know - focus him as a team, pick heroes that counter him, bait his deflect, etc.
I got to Masters back when I still tried hard in this game, I know some stuff.
I just don’t like the idea of a hero that requires so much effort to take down and has so much damage.
I also don’t think that his double jump having no cooldown, or his ult not being cancelled when he’s stunned (such as Reaper’s, Roadhog’s or Moira’s) are fair things.
I am aware that my post is me just complaining about Genji, crying if you will, but
I do think that he is an issue that needs being adressed.
Genji is the only thing that keeps me from coming back to this game.

There are so many counters to Genji now I am surprised when I see a Genji these days.
If those players show that much dedication to the character to continue playing them despite the numerous ways of dealing with him then I give them my respect. True dedication right there.

You can cancel channeled ultimates with stuns. You cant cancel “transformation” ultimates with stun ie. genji blade, mecry moth, bastion tank

I get supper shocked when I see a genji on the enemy team these days same when I see a tracer oh right sorry Brigitte main I will be quite and go back to my corner now where my day is made worse by pharas and junkrats.
Genji doesn’t bother me anymore, there’s far more frustrating heros to deal with nowadays.

There are Genji’s because people like to practice him. I see him quite often, but nowdays Hanzo and Brigitte are more common.
I never see him in qp anymore, he used to be an instant lock hero but now it’s very rare to see him. Now he has 2 low skill floor counters who only need to look at him and he’s dead.
Genji never really bothered me. I started the game with Roadhog and a good hook picks him off. Aside from the fact he has a lot of counters now. (I barely see him these days).
You can’t kill Genji consistently with the hook combo. Imo it’s easier to one shot Reaper after a hook than Genji
Not consistently maybe, but a low HP Genji has to retreat or gets picked off easily by others, and when you pull him in your team while he was flanking, someone else can do the final hit for you.
Trick is: not to let them look at you in the first place, you’re a ninja, you lurk in the shadows and “strike your enemies where they do not expect”.
