…would be a nice place to start. Blizzard, if you’re really serious about getting toxic players out of the game, someone insulting or trolling other people over the course of multiple forum posts or threads probably deserves to be banned from everything you find attached to their account.
Seriously, after 5 minutes of wandering around on the forums I found several people who rarely posted anything except insulting, belittling, toxic comments, usually with no provocation.
I realize adding a report feature to the forums would be a terrible idea for obvious reasons, but I imagine Blizzard can afford to pay for some moderators to manually look for this kind of stuff, possibly with automated pre-sorting.

I made a forum post about someone’s main. And no matter who I was talking to, the guy had something to add on to my conversations with other people telling me “I didn’t know what I was talking about” ect. and I wouldn’t argue with him because he was bias about his love for his character, I don’t mind conversing different opinions, but you aren’t automatically right, and talking down to me isn’t going to make me want to start talking to you. He made many belittling comments. I engaged him by telling him I didn’t care about his opinion, please leave. But what happened? I sadly ended up at my wits end saying something along the lines of "I’m tired of your bull turds . LEAVE ME ALONE."but I used asterisks which he reported and I was suspended for implying cursing. Sheesh I think even talking about it can get me in trouble. T: But really, this guy wouldn’t leave me alone and took over my topic. I couldn’t talk to anyone else and he was just spamming my topic (to the extent that someone can).
maybe its the amount of stupidity on the forums, which triggers toxicity. Natural way of things Blizzard shouldn’t intervene with.
12+ rating could’ve contributed a major part to it.
Whiney kids hardly have a positive effect on the quality of forum content.

Implying that kids are the problem.
The reports on the forums and in the game work the same way. Enough people flag a post blizzard will look at it and take actions on the account, that will lead to account suspension(even in game) when its repeated a lot, the fact that they aren’t punished shows that some people don’t think its toxic. Will be nice if you quote some so at lest we know what you think is toxic.
Gona add that the EU forum is noting like US or KR since they have admins who are on 24/7 unlike EU that probably has someone checking it weekly to do some cleaning. You can hardcore flame someone on the US forum and you have a good chance of getting punished in the next 10 min but once you do that on the EU forum it can take months for that punishments.
Gona say the bad side the forum reports/flaging (since they are mostly automated like in the game) If people don’t agree with your opinion you can get punished and that’s the main reason i’ll never use my main account on the forums. Freedom of speech makes forums what they are and its close to 0 on the blizzard forums.
If you take a look at the EU forum and start punishing people by the Coc you’ll have to punish like 75% of the forum uses since most topics are just spam remake of an existing one. Even a topic like this one exist(talking about forum toxicity) so technically you did break some rules as well.
@ Atrophy
implying they are not. Just check how many of those toxic and belitteling comments OP mentioned end (or have in them) emote spam like "
"
instant giveaway.
People on the forum are soft, trolling is everything they don’t agree with or if they take something that’s meant as a joke or sarcasm incorrectly, they will cry about.
