I love Overwatch. The community is normally pretty positive and the competitive scene is still enjoyable for me. However, a large portion of my games seem to be ruined by loud angry Russians swearing at me. I’m not saying every Russian is like this but there is a large portion of people who make the game enjoyable by spewing salt. I know that I have my moments of negativity but it just feels like there is an extremely large proportion of my games in which I get tilted by someone screaming profanity at me in Russian. Is it worth going to US servers? Although the ping is worse there is more communication. Or should there be more monitoring of the voice channels?

I can just recomment, if those people talk in another language, spewing salt, then the best thing you can do is mute them.
You can’t understand them anyway so muting those players won’t make communication worse.
Or you could relax and eat some popcorn, spiced with the salty tears of little crybabies. Idk, I kinda have some malicious joy when people get mad over just a game.

Eu is toxic cause it has x100 less mods then US.
If you do something wrong it might takes weeks for a someone to look at it and if you dont have friends to abuse the automated report system nothing els can be done.

American servers are waaaaay better than EU everytime I go EU its just literally salt non stop
US vs Eu
US: More likely to understand what ppl are saying, lower skill lvl (diamond on US is high gold on EU), more people on voice chat,
EU: Very funny and refreshing voice chat when people actually care, more difficult (high skill players), generally more fun but toxic
I have OW since February and I play on platina like you. There was literally one time in competitive when some guy (not Russian I presume since he did not have a specific accent) was loudly upset about other player in our team taking bastion (we won anyway), and it was only two sentences and then he stopped.
You guys are either unlucky or too sensitive. Many people are talking about toxicity, but I rarely see it. Especially now with LFG system you can talk with the team before the match and decide whether you’re comfortable playing with these people.
