I have been disconnecting for a few weeks saying ‘‘Unexpected server error’’ - I thought it was my internet at first - But i called my internet provider, they gave me a new router and have inspected the internet, but everything is good on my end now, but im still getting the errors. I have also tried to reinstall the game, repair the game files, used a VPN to connect to different countries to maybe prevent it for happening, but unfortunately no luck.
The crashes is random, sometimes it’s instantly when opening the game, and other times it’s after a few games
Even if it connects directly after getting the error, there is no option to rejoin the game to help my friends with winning the game, and they end up loosing ranking.

I had this, rather annoyingly the error message popped up after two wins, both of which did not count. Sometimes even when you win you lose with the game.
Servers were scuffed the other day. That was probably what you were suffering through.
Definitely wasn’t your end. Blizz acknowledged it in their usual poor way. One quiet tweet from a EU customer service account no one follows.
I’m still suffering through it - After playing 2 games, now I can’t even open the game without it saying ‘‘Unexpected server error’’, opening and closing it 4-5 times, and im still trying and it continues..
I’m having the exact same issue, as well as been frozen in place mid game and seeing everyone around me flying in the air, I’m even getting stuck on hero bans and getting booted unable to join and getting comp bans for it, it’s an absolute joke I don’t understand why this hasn’t been fixed yet?!
