Very expected server issue occurred

I’m seeing a lot of posts in here discussing the actual game. This leads me to believe that people are getting into Overwatch 2, but I’ve no idea how. I’ve been trying since launch and haven’t managed to get past the “x players ahead of you” - disconnected from game server problem once so far.

I play on Xbox, so thought that was the issue but if I log on to PC it’s exactly the same. Is this only broken for specific players? The two people I usually play with are also having the exact same issue, yet I’m seeing others on my friends list playing all night.

has just started same error for me after playing all morning on PC , finished a game crashed to menu cant get back in , x amount of players ahead , then after q server error ??

any fixes for this

The most ridiculous thing is that Overwatch is now gone. It’s not simply possible to pop onto Overwatch 1 because the ‘sequel’ was actually just a relatively large patch to the original game.

If they had released an actual sequel then we could have just kept playing Overwatch while they fix the new game.
