Blizzard really need to pick up their maturing of the matchmaker. The games are seriously one sided. Either you get stomped, or you do the stomping. Very very poor matchmaking.
Go back to 2019/2020 Overwatch, the matches are normally fair, balanced, fun games for either side.
It is what it is. MMs main goal is to get games running as quickly as possible. So the 4-5 ppl waiting in a Q as a group will be prioritized to get a game as quickly as possible. Last few games I played in ranked teams just leave. They say f-it I ll play a round of Helldivers 2 while waiting for the suspention to run out.
I doubt this is a healthy sign of a game “not” dying.
The matchmaker is there to make even/fair games, though in theory, as Blizzard can’t seem to achieve that yet. It is definitely in a bad place with the playerbase, the negative reviews seen on Steam/Meta critic. If you take a look at the old Overwatch reviews, its a massive difference!
Indeed. And we both know that logically, every review out there for games/movies/or whatever else are only provided by those that submit reviews. And for those that have submitted their reviews, we can clearly see the negative far outweighs the positives, massively.
Given the amount of reviews we have against overwatch 2, it is a pretty good turn out to see that it is Negative.
Total reviews - 246,006
Positive - 41,187
Negative - 204,819
A surprising number of reviews just memes about the “twomad” situation.
Total player numbers in February 25,100,970
So the total reviews is less than 1% of the current player base. Negative reviews count for around 0.81% of the players. Would this extrapolate in a linear fashion if we gauged the other 99% of players. Probably not.
Mostly negative isn’t a good look, but some sense of scale is required for people to make their own judgement.
