Greetings Technical Support forum,
These days, I am running some graphic/video tests for my Blizzard games. I was wondering if you can give me an opinion on that matter.
My current Pc specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte B360 HD3 (rev. 1.0)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-2666MHz
CPU: Intel Core i5-8500 Box
Graphics Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX1060 6GB G1 Gaming (GV-N1060G1 GAMING-6GD Rev 2.0)
Operating System: Windows 10 64 bit
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB (only for windows and really important programs)
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB (only for Blizzard games)
HDD: Western Digital WD Green 1TB,Internal,5400RPM,3.5" (for everything else)
Monitor : LG (24M37H-B) 23.5", 1920x1080, 5ms, 1000:1, 60hz
Even though I know that for the best Overwatch competitive experience, the best Video Options, as many guides suggested, are the Low ones, I still want to try if my Pc can handle easily the Epic ones and everything on Max.
I am planning also, to buy a new monitor (144), so do you think it is better to start the settings testing with the new monitor?
Thank you in advance for your time.
Sincerely,
Mew
Hi Mew,
I’m not sure you’ll get your answer under “General Discussion”, maybe try it under “Technical Support” or try to post same thing on US forum (since you can get reply there faster).
Do you plan to buy 144 Hz monitor with 1080p or 1440p? Difference is if your hardware can run it at your desired settings.
You can check some info on that topic in link below:

and this one:

So here’s the problem when using overwatch as a benchmark: its REALLY optimized.
I’ve played this game without a video card and got 30 frames, i plopped a 6-year-old Radeon in it and im getting 250 frames.
You understand what im trying to say? you literally picked the worst game to benchmark your gaming pc with.
Heres games that actually require a good PC:
Deus Ex: mankind divided - max everything out and you wont get 60 fps with your current setup. all you will get is sadness and depression at about 10/20 fps right before your video card burns up faster than the wings of Icarus.
Crysis 3 ( yes a game from 2007) every setting maxed to ultra, better say a little prayer for your system first.
try either of those at your own peril friendo.
