⚠ 2 Step Authentication not working

Hey,

I have been noticing a problem currently whereby if I try logging into battlenet, that is protected by 2 step verification , (that is the Authenticator app on my phone), battlenet indefinitely shows the loading animation and doesn’t login, after I hit “Approve” on my phone.

I can login fine on accounts that do not use 2 step verification. Is something wrong with the Authenticator verification services ? I started noticing this issue just today.

I was initially tempted to disable 2 step verification but I thought I’ll report this in here and keep it enabled .

Update: If I were to hit “Deny” on the authenticator app on my phone, then battlenet rightfully gets back to the login page, with a message showing the request was rejected. However hitting “Approve”, doesn’t login and keeps the loading animation go on forever.

Update 2: Okay this problem has been fixed. I am able to login now into my account with 2 step authentication. I guess there was some services down time earlier :slight_smile:

Update 3: 23 May , 7:54 AM (GMT): I have noticed this issue come up again.

Hello Star,

I haven’t seen a case like that recently, to be honest.

I would maybe try detaching your authenticator and attaching it again. Sometimes this can solve sync issues, which could be causing what you describe.

I am having this issue today I was trying to reply to a forum post and hitting approve did nothing I even tried the manual code… nothing but then I sent the SMS and it worked that’s how I’m able to reply now
