Warning for communications

I have not played or logged in since season 1.
Today I have logged in, and after the very first game of QP I have received a warning message regarding my recent communication.
I have not even said anything, except: Did you like my pharah revenge against the pocketed widow?

Looks like it’s not allowed to write anything in the chat anymore as it’s classified as toxicity.

You shouldn’t be too worried. It’s just 1 or a few more reports and you’ll need several more before action is taken.
I myself refrain from flaunting anything because people are more likely to report such behaviour when they lose the match.

Some upset kiddies probably reported you and got his little friends to report you as well. Blizz automates reports like that, so it gets abused. Its the same in WoW. Scum get their entire guild to report competition or people they dont like and get them silences or banned that way

If you write toxic things, you’ll get a warning.

If you don’t, you won’t.

So in summary, if you get a warning you’ve been toxic. Respect others and behave.

What he said wasn’t toxic or abusive in any way… This is the work of an abused report system. But of course you’d think otherwise.

This is why I am doing smurf/alt accounts only. Im done being held back by a disgusting report system held hostage by SJW nerds waiting at any opinion they dont like to abuse the system. No competitive spirit allowed in OW since I cant remember, only rainbows and sunshine NPCs. One mistake and your main account will be flagged and restricted, which only gets worse the more you dont conform.
I encourage the same amongst sane individuals. Have backups.

A lot easier now F2P has hit live.

The first mistake you’ve made is assuming he’s telling the whole story.

The report system can’t be abused, because it’s volume based. The fact that you still can’t figure that out is alarming… But if you’re getting a warning, it’s for a reason. If you’re being actioned you’re not learning. It is just convenient to cry “abused system” rather than taking responsibility.

Can you not read? There’s no mistake, but I know you just trolling. Here, let me elaborate.

^ He stated what he said, that’s the whole story. You can make assumptions about other so called behavior, but I’m listening to this person and believing him. As there’s no point in lying on the forum about it. The report system can get abused, end of story.

That is quite clearly not the whole story.

If it was he wouldn’t of been punished. The punishment is clear proof there is more to the story than we’ve been told

System can’t be abused, only people who’ve been punished and refuse to learn or take responsibility could think that. It’s a complete illogical take.

Learn to read please, because that’s all he said.

It is all he said. And it’s missing a lot and as such not the whole story.

If he’s been reported enough to get a warning, he’s done things consistently in multiple games.

No one single game or incident can get you warned.

Wrong, that’s just your assumption (As usual), but ok.

You’ve made the assumption they’re telling you everything. That isn’t the case, and there is clear evidence for everyone to see that.

They got a warning.

So, at least my assumption takes everything they’ve said into account before making it.

I can see that Wolfebear hasn’t made any mistakes here, OP clearly stated:

He typed “I have not even said anything, except”.

Maybe OP is lying, maybe he’s telling the truth.
Sticking to what information we have from OP, nothing more was said.

I’m unsure how the report system works - if it is volume based like you say, then maybe the reporter was grouped with 3/4 players (where they all reported OP) which then maybe counts as sufficient ‘volume’ for the report to matter. I’m unsure if Blizzard have detailed their reporting system this far though.

Meh.

They might have (very unlikely). But no, that isn’t enough. It’s quite the sizeable amount.

I can test it, be a pain in the butt in 10 games in a row and see what happens if you want…

They have given enough details to show that it takes many reports, can’t be abused in the what you’re suggesting and is highly accurate.

They’ve even said in testing the new AI system is even more accurate.

So if someones punished, it is for a reason… The whole “wow is me” act when you’re punished is tiresome.

Unsure, this is a new account on the forums so it could be a genuine query.
Pity Blizzard don’t provide a snapshot of what was said/reported, at least so that this user knows what the problem text(s) were, if there was more than one instance.

It is probably someone who’s been warned. And thought it was because of 1 incident, becauses thats the one they remember.

It takes so many reports and, a decent amount of time.

I’ve called people some harsh things quite a few times and never even had a warning.

If you sit there being annoying game after game, doesn’t need to be “toxic”, you’ll get a slap on the wrists.

Maybe they just weren’t sad enough to report? Not everyone spam reports like yourself.

Sad? Why is reporting someone being disruptive sad?

Only way you can possibly think that is because you’re annoyed by them for a reason…
