So I recently made a post about how I got false banned and of course it didn’t belong on here so it got unlisted. I figured out what got me banned, a csgo bunny hop macro that was on my mouse, yup thats it. I did and still do find it very stupid since spam jumping doesnt do anything on ow, I had forgoten to switch mouse profile when I was done playing csgo and the scroll click being the bhop macro activation and the melee keybind on ow, well you can see where this is going. I know this is my fault even though I still think I shouldn’t be perm banned for this.
Just wanted to let you guys know to avoid you future loss
PS: for those that don’t know stuff about csgo the bhop macro just spams your space key and is allowed on cs but thats out of the question just wanted to warn you guys

I just logged, went on prac range to warm up and noticed melee wasn’t working so i switched back to my ow config on my mouse, decided I didn’t wanna play anymore, closed the game and recieved an email later saying that i got banned. I’m sorry I’m really not trying to be rude and as I said in my post I know its my fault but this really shouldn’t be a perm ban.
Hey now, Stalin. Do you really think a permanent ban from the game sounds reasonable here?

Would you consider a useless Jump-Spam macro that has about the same effect as binding the jump button to Scroll Up/Down to be equally as bad as a speedhacking aimbotter that can see through walls?
If it was actual cheating I wouldn’t be bothering anyone but the thing that bugs me out is that it’s so stupid (from me mostly but also the perm ban) cause it’s just jumping, like I’d understand if it moved my mouse or something but it literally just press space a bunch of times and I didn’t pay for it? Well I did pay for my mouse I suppose , thanks for the answer guys oh yeah and last thing, I’m not saying I should get a special treatment, I’m just saying simple macro like these should be a perm ban if a ban at all.
I mean if Blizzard had the man power and time to check whether or not you played actual games with the macro, then they could see you were just in the practice range and didn’t play any games, then unban you. I just doubt they care enough to go to those lengths to check. Call it a $20 mistake and move on if you don’t get any help from them.
Hey, being in the prac range don’t matter too much too, literally just press spaces a bunch of time as i said earlier but it doesn’t matter now. Yeah I moved on even though it was way more than 20. But things should change this shouldn’t be a permanent ban. Anyways thanks for the answers guys.
