we or atlest most people i know want the loot boxes and the qp credits back cuz we dont want to spend money on the game
They removed it, because of the rules in Belgium and in The Netherlands. Lootboxes = gambling. Which is technically true. So they changed the whole system with a Battlepass so you can buy the stuff on there and in a shop.
You don’t have to buy anything, you can play with the lootbox loot you got from OW1 and get the free skins from the battlepass or spend 10 bucks for a premium pass to get some more loot.
Yeah lootboxes were better. Having a chance to get the legendary skins is better than being forced to pay for them. Gambling was more rewarding paradoxically.

If it really is an issue of gambling, just make it so you can’t purchase lootboxes, and you just get them for free after each level. They contributed a lot to the “one more game” kind of attitude when you were 1 more game away from leveling up and getting one.

I agree but they can’t as loot boxes are illegal in many countries now.
