What about entertainment?

Why bring politics into your game? Why try to push your ideals and your and beliefs unto your players (customers)? It seems unprofessional to me.
I get that you want to promote acceptance of different people wither it be their race or sexuality. And you want to portray these normal differences as normal in your game. But that’s not your job Blizzard. Your job is entertainment and entertainment only.
People want changes and improvements to your game. They want content. They want new heroes with interesting abilities. They want fun. But instead all you’ve given was a skin and revealed a character to be gay to improve your public image.

I don’t speak for others. I only speak for myself. When I play your game I just want to have fun. I don’t want to think about politics or social issues. I just want to relax and enjoy my time.
It’s true that the characters in the game are interesting and I am curious about their lore. I enjoy the animated shorts and the comic books. And I look forward to each one as soon as they are released.
But instead you released a story that revolves around revealing a character’s sexuality just so that game journalists can praise you for being progressive.

Just because I am critical and disagree with what Blizzard did does not mean I am a homophobic. Calling someone homophobic does not grant you an insta-win of the discussion.
