I have a different thread going, about a completely separate topic. And I’ve been writing there freely, and stuck to the topic as best as I can, with a few side-trackings I’ve tried my best to correct back on track by some of the replying parties. Now all of a sudden on my latests post in that thread, it now gave me a message saying “Awaiting approval”, and has been like this now for 11 hours.
Can someone enlighten me a bit about what this means? How long does it take to show up? will it be read by a forum admin?
Basically, why isn’t it posting, and how long will it take until it does?

Usually it is because you’ve used a word that is potentially an issue, so it triggers the system to send it to someone to checking it before it goes up.
Ohh, it’s you again xD So, what word could that be? I was fairly PG in my writing. The only times I wanted to express frustration with an F-bomb, I actually sensored it myself.
You have any experience on how long it would take before it gets checked? Seeing as you’ve posted quite alot XD

And I am sure a bunch more. Basically anything that is usually used to just directly insult someone, as insulting is a ban, so it tries to stop you before that
So just using this idi-word we both know what represent is enough aswell? even if it’s used in a non-direct setting? if it’s speaking about a general group of people, that’s enough? I never did as a personal insult, but I did use this word to refer to a group of people, that’s true. Will keep that in mind for future posts. Guess I gotta make my writing PG-7 xD
Guess I’ll wait for the approval and see what they say. Been more than 12 hours now, but thena gain, we did write quite alot there. But I don’t feel like I overstepped any boundries or did any personal insults. I did refer to groups of people as this idi-word though, so guess I just have to use less “offensive” language even though it’s already fairly harmless and normal word to use xD

It’s because the can’t tell the context, so just have it set to flag on specific words.
About the only checking they do on the forum.

In case someone else wonders about this same thing in the future, the post got approved after about 24 hours, so atleast that’s how long it took for my post. Why specifically it needed approvement is still unknown to me.
You used the I word that auto triggers it.
That was never confirmed, but it’s might be, yes.
You will never get any confirmation from them, about anything. They don’t have the staff for that. It is just a basic automated system.
A bank of words - you type one, they will double check what you’re saying.

But do you have a list of these words that triggers the automated system? Or are you assuming? If there is no comfirmation, then there is no way to know for sure either. Just saying.

The word you used usually crops up when someone is insulting someone/people or at best punching down.
Sure, but still, some people simply ARE the word we both know about. It’s not necessarily an insult. But it very well might be this word, yes. We just don’t know. We can assume it is based on the lack of other potential words that was written however. So fair enough. I’m just stating what I know here.

You can never just accept things can you. You tried to insult someone/group of people and they had to check it first.
