I wonder if this is even acquirable for actually having a job. I can’t even seem to reach silver border because of breaks and actually having real life stuff to attend too (aka job). So do you really require to just to be unemployed and play 16 hours a day. Or is it manageable by working and straight after, playing Overwatch every single day till you have to sleep and get up for work?
1801 levels
That’s 36020000 xp
Which if we say that you only play 1 match of quick play every day in a group getting at least 1 golden metal (with each match lasting around 10 minutes)
36020000/5000 = 7200 days
If you wanted to get it in a year then you’d need around 100000 xp a day which is around 40-50 matches a day.
In two years you’d need around 50000 xp which would be anywhere from 20-30 matches a day which would take around 3 hours to do.
Definitely doable with work if you’ve been playing the game since it was released.
If you start now though you’re going to be hard pressed to catch up.
As an extra side note if we forget about all the extra xp that you get and only used the base xp gain per minute (211/minute) it would take around 120 days of playing the game to get that much xp
Yeah but I don’t think people would have this unhealthy life style to not proper eat or having family or friends too attend too. I am a gamer since I was young and it still is my main hobby. But 2 years of nothing then the same routine of every day work, eat, cleaning the house etc and sleep even with 3-4 hours a day of Overwatch?
If that was the case again does not sound like a healthy life style. Imo it allready takes way too long too get actually one level. And ofcourse that is because they hope that you buy loot boxes to get that legendary skin.
If you work 9 to 5 and sleep at 11-12pm then it’s definitely something that you’d be able to do without compromising anything.
You’d just need dedication
Yeas dedicate yourself to Overwatch.
Play it like it’s your job, suck all the fun right out of it. I’m not implying that trash team comps and feeders don’t already do that…
What the search times alone would take 5 years…
The platinum border was designed because people who play the game for fun reached the highest level. There is not special reason for anyone to get it.
It is acquirable, just not in two weeks.
Took me about 1700+ hours.
The trick is to win more then you lose and when you do lose, you try to lose quickly.
For advice on strategy i suggest you read The Art of War by Sun Tzu.
Maybe listen to the Gambler by Kenny Rogers.
But if you want my “1700+ hour” golden tip to get faster xp.
You leave teams with more then a single sniper.
I believe it’s level 600 to get a silver border.
Took me around 600 hours according to my career profile
It’s possible, just don’t think about it because it will make things annoying and you’ll always think about your damn border. Just enjoy the game and let time take care of the borders and stuff.
