Its just dawned on me what are the general ranks of players in the forums? Is it a very skilled sub-community or is it filled with low-ranked players? And is there proportional representation of the ranks (like say 10% of players are bronze in game, whats the % in forums)
Ill go first. Currently I am Bronze - Silver. However its just after placement. So I hope to go back up to gold like previosu seasons (I play on Console = PC)

Masters / GM. Thats impressive. I suppose for people with multiple accounts I would take the more resent one as like I said, I went from Gold - Bronze a few seasons back and got a bit rusty. I suppose the forums should have representation of all ranks, but I have a strong idea that this place is filled with higher ranked players. As typically low ranked players dont put enough time into the game to rank up as much, and so wont put enough time to go to the forums, yet more seaosned players would like it here better. But then again you get players like me with hundreds of hours I think and still low metal

back in lineage 2 and blade & soul days I also hated to participate in pvp activities, pve and dungeons/farming was my cup of tea

If you got there on the quirks of new accounts and volatile MMR… cool. But to claim you are that rank when the other account is much lower on hundreds of hours, with a much more accurate MMR… it feels a bit false.

Much as I’d love to brag about it - I don’t see rank as a genuine achievement in this game nor do I see it as an authentic measurement of a player’s skill - not with the integrity of the rank system being so poor:
*Although the community doesn’t seem to agree on what is or is not a sufficient amount of time to allow the system to calibrate correctly - if the amount of time I and others have played isn’t a sufficient amount of data then that suggests that the system is very poor in assessing skill
If you take more recent as “real” rank - just yesterday I got this account back to Master (OQ) after I dropped to Diamond 1 - so you could say Diamond 1 is my “minimum” that I can maintain fairly easily on this account:
Also I’ve played on each account days apart in both instances - so it cannot reasonably be claimed that somehow I’ve lost all my skill or regained an entire rank’s worth of skill in the span of a few days…
Meanwhile on my other account I had to sweat out of my mind just to get to Diamond 5 at the end of last season and I haven’t even been able to get back to Diamond 5 at all this season - half the games are unbelievably difficult…
I grinded my way to plat 4 in season 3.

I’ve not finished my placements in the last 2 seasons due to serious lack of teamwork in my teams as the tank has decided to 1v4 the enemy team, both dps trickle in repeatedly to get killed.
And one of the enemy dps just keeps spawn camping the supports. Even when we go out with our tank or dps, we keep dying despite trying to fight the camper.

I am so glad venture got nerfed. They just kept 2v1ing me and the other support when we tried to take them out together since the rest of the team decided to ignore our plight.
Assuming your in random lobbies (without mates), surely the other teams tank should behvae this way just as frequently. And if it is a friend who you queue with, maybe talk to them, or play separetly when it comes to comp. I have a friend where by ourselves we are winning games as usual (say 50%), but together since were in a wide group we lose more often.
I mean yeah, some of them do. But in at least 3 or 4 of those 8 games i played, the enemy team was better at grouping up and playing together than mine was.
So those felt like stomps. I’m sure the rest were just as uneven in one way or another, it’s just very easy to notice when you’re the one being spawncamped by the enemy and ignored by your team.
Mostly about luck in solo queue games.
I have 1 person i could play with, but it’ll be a wide queue in that case. And honestly, i’d rather not play comp with them even if we have opposite weaknesses. My aim is super bad, meanwhile their awareness is just as bad as my aim is.
It would be fine otherwise, but they don’t notice any pings and when i verbally point out the enemy they ask “where?”
I tell them “highground, left” and that i’ll ping again, and they still don’t notice them.
I use pings liberally because i just mess up my words when trying to give call outs in an adrenalin filled match, and then i’m just disruptive. It’s less disruptive if i just say “widow pinged” “flanker pinged behind”.
I told them to change the colour to something brighter so they’re notisable, but then they’re too bright for their liking.
Master / GM is impressive! You must be a decent player.
