What should the next new weapon skin be?

I was thinking pearl weapons would look cool. But there is so many you could choose from. What would look like the coolest?

Pearl would look far better than jade. I’m all for it.

I’d like it to go the other way, a matte black would be pretty cool. Or just to annoy certain people, in the various flag colours for pride.

For the best chance to annoy everyone (even the folks who would love the flags)
Just go bright neon pink.

Pearl would be really nice, but i’m not sure the devs would go for something that sophisticated looking.

There will probably be “ruby” that’s just red, “amethyst” for purple and maybe lapis or aquamarine for blue or teal. All of them flat colours like the jade.

Would need to pay real money for an iridecent white weapon skins with gold highlights, like the los muertos weapons.

A neon pink one would be cool. Any neon in general.

But watching the people we expect to get angry and dig themselves into a hole over some colourful pride weapons would be amazing.

Brown. Im thinking like a deep brown, with greenish undertones.

Or a yellow. Like a translucent yellow. Maybe orangeish yellow.

Pearl is kind of funny too, its a good idea.

Tbh, I have no idea why they went with “Jade” instead of Emerald in the first place… I think a slightly darker green would have looked better - although, maybe it’s not the shade that’s the problem but the texturing? I dunno, I just think all Jade variations look ‘off’… y’know?

My honest answer would be Ruby, because red is my favourite colour, but I don’t want it to be Ruby until I’ve seen that they can make ones that look good… so Sapphire? :sweat_smile:

Matte black would be cool, though I would prefer glossy black. I love when black is shiny (despite that black is supposed to absorb all light).

Pride would be AWESOME!!! But I doubt they would make those unlockable through earnable currency, they’d probably put it behind a paywall… and it would be banned in certain countries (unless they don’t call it “Pride” but call it “Rainbow” or even “Rainbow Quartz” or something…).
Talking of Pride though, I loved that OW had its first Pride event last year, but other than some new player icons and name cards (which I hope we’ll get a non-binary Venture version), there weren’t really any cosmetics to unlock… It’d be great if we could unlock some Pride skins for our LGBTQIA+ heroes! A pansexual pride skin for Lifeweaver and bisexual pride skin for Baptiste would look soo good! But again, thanks to Activision-Blizzard, it probably would be monetized… and since Microsoft acquired it and sacked most of the staff, I don’t expect we’ll get anything decent that wasn’t already worked on before the redundancies and is just waiting to be released.
