I’ve played quite a few games and I must say, what is going on with the POTGs… OW1 you mostly saw impressive ones, but since OW2, there’s been some absolutely diabolical ones that no way deserved it.
Anyone else seeing these awful POTGs lately?

The fire icon is earnt to easily too.
Didn’t that make it harder in the last patch? (No idea what they changed about it though)
The ‘on fire’ mode is triggered way too fast, I agree.
The PotG is a hit or miss. Sometimes it is well earned… but I do see a lot of “Hanzo kills 1 person?” PotG while Reaper just killed 4… etc.

Dmg done is a huge factor in a potg… so even if reaper kills 4 but hanzo does more dmg then hanzo will get the potg

Reaper kills 4 with Death Blossom dealing like 4-5 times the damage Hanzo does with 1 kill. Nah, PotG can be very borked…

That’s not the case. I’ve seen one death in a POTG, mostly them running doing nothing, and I had a triple kill destroying people as Orisa.

But isn’t potg suppose to be the best or most devastating sequence of the game?
If not, then remove the feature, because now we get to watch single kills.
I mean, the best damage dealer is shown in the stats anyway.
And “Play of the Game” says itself, it does not say “PlayER of the Game”. Right?

Exactly this! Pointless having these ridiculous one kill POTGs.
I agree it is borked. Supports save our asses so much and yet they do something that is game changing and POTG goes to the dps
I have seen potg where the person just got shot and killed absolutely nobody. Or me having potg as reinhardt and after the first kill you suddenly see the enemy doomfist playing
I had a POTG as Rein, but for some very weird reason, it started showing me, then switched onto a soldier that did nothing… I saved the POTG, I’ll have to show it lol
yeah same here but switched to a doomfist. the game is pretty broken and unbalanced since the latest patch
