Well I guess I can ask the voice of soldier 76 himself he will be at a convention in 40 days.
I don’t think he has much say in when and what skins are available.

I don’t play the same heroes. i’m on a different skill level. I hate playing comp while rodimus pretty much only plays comp.

Hello mate! I’m sorry to tell you but you can’t buy the Soldier 76 ugly sweater skin. You got it from the Winter Wonderland 2019 week 1 challenge. Back in OW1 there were multiple holiday events every year, the one in the winter is called Winter Wonderland. These events are 4 weeks and every week you got 1 new skin so in total 4 skins for the yearly events. I think it was 9 wins per week to unlock a skin so it was really easy. There’s new skins every year so if you missed out on them during the week a skin were available for, you could not get them again.
However, before the end of OW1 in a span of probably 9 months, Blizzard re-released multiple hero weekly event and weekly holiday event skins for a limited time only so that people who missed on those cosmetics had a second chance of getting them. Each skin were again only available for a week. Blizzard replaced the holiday events during this period and called them “Overwatch remix” event. You didn’t earn any new weekly skins but only the old Weekly skins from years past for people who missed those skins. Blizzard also added recolored versions of store skins which is why these events was called “remix”. If you wonder there were 3 remix events in total.
I recommend to search on YouTube Overwatch remix vol 1,2 or 3 for you to see which skins were available. You can also for example search Overwatch Haloween and the year you’re wondering about. I don’t remember for the moment how many yearly holiday events there were but I think it’s 4 per year and then there are the hero events in between that are only 1 week, which is how you got for example the Bastet Ana.
Actually. Almost all ow1 era skins (including event ones) are being made available to unlock again and blizzard is reintroducing a free credit system in the next battle pass season so they’ll also be easier to obtain by everyone.
I think it’s really weird that Blizzard says that items are “limited edition” and then releases almost all of them again but not all of them. Pink Mercy are the only limited time skin (other than Lego Bastion) being available through purchase in the game that hasn’t come back. The Lego skin is understandable because Lego don’t wan’t to colab anymore with Blizzard but BRCF still want to do it. I think it’s a little unfair that almost all limited time skins in OW1 has released again other than Pink Mercy. I personally have no issues with skins being available again because then more people can get cosmetics they have missed out on but then I think it should apply to every skin.
The Pachimari Hog skin are now back in season 3 for the third time now which I think is great for people who missed out on him but Pink Mercy still hasn’t been back yet and was released back in 2018 and there’s so many people asking for her to come back and would be really happy too.
