Where is Aaron Keller?

His silence is deafening and since all the Overwatch Content Creators jumped to Marvel Rivals there are no updates communicated… It’s like he is hiding somewhere or he just don’t even care, maybe he has surrounded himself with yes-men so much that doesn’t even realizes the State of Overwatch right now.

Ever since Aaron Keller took over this game has become worse, the only good news were when they announced and released Overwatch Classic (for a limited time) and 6v6 at least mends the pain of 5v5… who knows for how long but fact is that 6v6 came too late to Overwatch 2 and Marvel Rivals running circles around a Giant at Death’s Door.

Meanwhile Aaron Keller seemingly sits around and does nothing, without the Overwatch Content Creators pulling him out to say at least something there is no communication.
I wonder if Aaron Keller wanted this kind of Silence all along, wouldn’t surprise me.

Currently there is Good Stuff in OW2: Total Mayhem is permanently available (instead of bi-daily) and 6v6 is also still available (even though it’s tugged away in Arcade for whatever reason) but I want to know the reason, Aaron!

The last thing I remember he said was that they’re grateful for people who spend time in their game With all of the games currently released which Might have been a subtle nod To the competition…

:+1:

And when was that? I mean… they have to bring back all the old features of OW1 (post-match card voting, Looking for Group, Portrait Border Progression, maybe even free lootboxes just filled with OW1Coins) to be able to call it a Competition.

Again, 6v6 is Good but came back too late… or they just go back to OW1, just bring all the OW2 to OW1 and gg, I mean On-Fire and the UI looked better in OW1 than in OW2.

There are only 2 Good Things that have been added with OW2:
The Ping System and the Ranked Coin Progression that rewards 30 Matches played with 100 Ranked Coins… Just sad that they for whatever Reason decided to retire the Old Ranked Coins… now I sit on 1850 Old Ranked Coins with nothing to do with

There are a lot of amazing games out there, and I’d like to personally thank you for spending your valuable time in ours.

That seems like a reference to Marvel Rivals since I can’t remember the last time they ever mention other games…

aww that’s cute ^^ though still we shouldn’t rely on content creators to get info… especially when they’re off playing other games, like everyone at once

I dont think he really has any impact on the game as a whole. He does the briefs and relays the information but he doesnt decide much within the game itself.

Where is he?

Right now probably at home with his family.

But he did just do a welcome/update for the Chinese community. So I’d imagine he’s just doing his job.

I still don’t get how people think loot boxes would be a good idea…

And the rest are just cosmetic fluff. IF the gameplay is good, the rest doesn’t really matter.

as I said: Free Lootboxes, you know the ones you unlock for playing the Game.
That was a Reason to Grind the Game, at least for me for a time, when I decided to grind for a Lootbox Everyday in… I think it was 2021 and I ended up with over 800 Lootboxes for just playing the game^^

regarding all the lost Season Pass Items that are nolonger accessable in OW2, would it be that wild if Free Lootboxes return, unlocked by Battle Pass Rank Ups? I mean in OW2 Battle Pass Rank above 200 are meaningless anyways but in OW1 no Account Level Up was meaningless.

See, that is a bit of a common misconception. Free is irrelevant. They got slapped down as they introduced minors to gambling. And that is a big no no in some countries (quite rightly). It really doesn’t matter what you, I or anyone prefers at that point.

So they had 2 choices, massive age restrictions on the game, or remove them. Given that removing them opens the door to F2P and much wider revenue options… You can understand why they took that fairly sensible path. It was the logical move.
