Where is the Norwegian Flag?

Hello. I have been playing this wonderful game for 4 years now, and I still love it. When the Summer Games Event first arrived back in 2016, I noticed that Blizzard had added national flags as player icons. My Norwegian self was excited to wear the the Norwegian flag with pride and honor, but that excitement was cut short when I found out that Blizzard had not added the flag to the game. All the other Scandinavian flags had been added (Sweden, Denmark and Finland).

Would it be possible for Blizzard to add the Norwegian flag to the game? And while they are at it, would it be possible to add the Icelandic flag as well?

Your country must allow it, not all countries allow it. That’s the reason some flags are missing.

Has Blizzard ever specified what law states this?
I support the banning of flag usage in trivial ways, especially with Blizzard being the tremendous SJWs that they are, but I’m also really curious if it’s an international law or something.

Yes they explicitly did. I’m sure if you Google creatively, you can find the blue post somewhere.

I’m not sure if it’s an international law thing, probably more of a copyright issue or something like that.

what? On which legal basis would 1 country prohibit another country putting the flag whereever they want? Its not like there was a copyright on it or smth. like that.

I’m pretty sure Blizzard’s legal team is more knowledgeable than you or me on this matter and probably have good reasons to not include all flags. Either way, here’s a Jeff post about the flags:

A few countries have weird licensing over what their flags can be used in. Croatia is another one.

I wouldn’t say weird as such, but simply copyright.
Some flag are protected by copyright, some are not. The United States for instance is in the public domain. Thus can be used

Get rid of flags, and borders. One World, One Race.

I believe they should also bring the flags of Luxembourg, Czech Republic and Ukraine as well the Norwegian and Icelandic flags
