This isn’t a racist post but I feel like the majority of french gamers are pretty toxic. Just this game I came across one who instalocked ashe in a competitive game. I asked him to swap because he was a main tank and i didn’t want to drop below 3k. This guy then proceeds to flame me and when i said i’ll mute him he started flaming me in french like I wouldn’t understand but jokes on him I speak 3 languages, french being among them. I didn’t reply to him and muted him. This is one of many examples I come across every day. It’s like when they can’t find the words in english or whatever they start flaming in french and become extremely racist when you reply in their language and they spot that you don’t really have the accent.

you trying to put the french gamers away as being toxic is im afraid racist. Its true that becouse the language barrier is there, there is a breeding ground for miscommunication but that also counts for the other countrys
Maybe its also to do with your perception. Each culture has different social norms. look for instance at the italian culture where normal talking can be perceived as a heated argument.
My advice is to acknowledge them and play the game. 80% of communication is non verbal. and in team chat intonation and silences are often misinterpreted.

I am not a racist or anything but yeah I stay away from from french people. They almost never communicate at all and when they say something they start “insulting and swearing.” Their “cultural difference” should be contained in their own servers and games.

I see everyone being toxic in this game, not only french.
OFC some Frenchy are toxic, like they are toxic ppl in every country across the world.

Generality is a bad thing and it’s the start of many racist thing.

Probably angry over the take over of their country and venting that via a video game as they would be branded racist bigots with other medias, just an idea 
EU has 23 languages to expect everyone to be able English is insanity, giving players ability to prefer matchmaking based on there language tho should probably be considered for EU
And that’s why they introduced private profiles.

Yep, it’s not, because “French” is not a race. But it certainly looks chauvinistic … And it’s certainly is biased, prejudicial, hateful, etc. 
Like they care … On EU servers you’ll also meet people from India, Israel, Egypt, KSA, Australia … pretty much they made “USA server” and “the rest of the world server” with latter being placed in Europe(France actually).
Nope, it is just facts, the reality. If it wasn’t reality someone wouldn’t have opened a threat just for that. Do you see topics made for italians, british, scotch etc. Nope. Facts are facts even you don’t like them, that doesn’t change anything, they are still there, you can put your head in the sand as long as you want.

You seem to be the most rude in this situation, trying to force others to play what you want instead of what they enjoy. Did you pay for his OW box ?

To be honest, your post sounds more like a spoiled kid who wanted to play with the latest toy (ASHE) but some other kid legitimately took it first.
Asking someone to change to a proper hero is not even considered abusive chat which is even written in game. When someone asks me to change I consider that and change if necessary without flaming or insulting unlike the people he asked. They could have said simply “no” but they started flaming. Why is he at fault here? Are you drunk or something?

The OP has just shown his true colors by generalizing this situation to all French players. My guess is that things didn’t happen like he tried to present them here, but that he was actually the rude one in this story.
As much as I d love this… You need like at least 5 different options alone for Switzerland if not more… No Srsly i don’t understand ppl from bern.
Don’t force german it’s a hard language and I personally prefer English.
But I was in London for 1 year and I need English in my carrer. So obviously I don’t have so much issues, as someone just wanting to play the game. (btw i love English)
It would be way better if blizzard would somehow say that the English language is a great advantages for solo players. Well pretty much anyone which isn’t playing in a 6 stack premade.
Or based on the ammount of players, you can choose a preferred language.
Like select 1 or more:
English, French, russia, German (maybe some other popular language i don’t know)
And you get matched with such players.
Ps: English isn’t the language of the world since yesterday… So yeah i kinda expect everyone to be able to talk English… Or better I hope.
But yeah in Switzerland for example you only learn french, German and Italian… And later in higher classes you start with English and remove the others. Stupid but okey xD
Unfortunately I also have this perception about french and russian players.
Culture might be part of it but higher number of players from those countries might explain why I meet more toxic players from those places than from other countries.

I’m glad that i’ve yet to meat French players (that stand out) But man do i get match with Polish and Russians that don’t even want to use English(or can’t) for the most of it. Doesn’t happen too often thou but at times i feel like i’m baby sitting some Russian moms kids.
But tbh once i see people with PL or Михаил in the name tag i instantly lower my expectations.

If met many players different countries 99% of the time they are not toxic, your perception is just like that because you do not see those players in your games to often so when you do you think they all toxic, next you give them poor treatment and expect them to stay sane ? that is now how it works that is just straight out rude, treat everyone equally like how you expect them to treat you.
EU has like 23 languages that is a huge potential language barrier you expect french players to respond back to something they do not understand ? and even if they did how often some one like that can speak English non English develop weird accent they do not like, or they afraid to made fun of basically not comfortable to speak English, what this game needs is ability to tell via profile that your first language is Dutch for example second Language is English so the game can try prioritize those players with players that can at least understand each other, calling insert country toxic is just rude and makes those players that are from there and do speak English feel attacked, you expect them basically to defend them self ? that is insanity you should’t generalize anyone.
I can answer this one mate.
I regularly play with french players, in total there’s 14 french folk i play with, they’re all fantastic and hilarious. Some of the best people I met online.
Here’s the trick with toxic people, they’re the first to speak up and start yelling at you. You have no idea how many french players you actually encounter because they just speak english and are overall nice. The most notable experiences people remember are the worst ones. So if you meet 10 toxic french people, you’ll assume everyone from there is toxic, this is only logical.
However, very few stop and question how many french people did they meet that they don’t know are french and were in fact, nice.
Every country has it’s rotten apples, not to mention there’s a stew of languages in europe which is another problem. Not everyone speaks english. Some just outright refuse it, other don’t know it.
