I got disconnected from my last game but rejoined as soon as possible. I get out of the game and im suspended for 5 minutes? Thats a real dumb thing if i got suspended for something out of my hands. Don’t punish people for having their internet cut out. It would be one thing if it was habitual.
How exactly you think blizz can know if it was or wasnt your fault?
I was in a comp game when my computer crashed. I left to restart it and I came back and we won the game. But I still lost 50 sr for it. Why do I loose sr if I come back and even win the match?
Because then you can randomly spite your team by leaving and rejoining after 5 minutes. Then do it again.
yeah but they need to increase a bit the time it’s give you to reconnect
if you get a random crash at the start of a match it’s pretty much a guarantee lose for you
Please keep in mind that a leaver penalty and a loss are still applied if one of these criteria is met:
- More than 2 minutes have passed between disconnecting and rejoining
- You disconnected from the match 3 or more times (even if you rejoined in time)
The reason why such a system doesn’t exist is that it would simply not work out. Players who are forced to leave a match would intentionally cut their internet connection / Alt+F4 / shut down their PC / do whatever it takes to avoid being penalised. In the end, it’d lead to more leavers and fewer matches completing normally. Being penalised for technical problems should also be an incentive to resolve the issue before queuing up for a game again.
