i simply do not understand why people decided that it should be very normal to force players who ranked low in each season for them to decide that when a season resets completely that old players should be accountable for their actions for all their lifetime.
If you’re low ranks, you’ll get new players in your games.
I’m not sure there’s anything sinister there. The reset did nothing for that, existing players pretty much stayed within 2 divisions of where they were.
So if you’re getting a lot of new players, the game thinks they match you’re MMR. Not sure what else can be said. I’m not going to lie to you and make claims that “MMR is bad” or “the match maker is messing with you”, because that misinformation is unhelpful.
If you don’t want to play with new players, you have to climb.

How is it unhelpful? the truth is the truth no matter how bad or inconvenient that is for you.
the truth is: players get punished in their placement matches because of their previous rank in different seasons.
which doesnt make sense because if you hard reset it for all players. than people SHOULD be treated equally but that is NOT the case, therefor this reset is a lie.
i did the exact same placement matches on a different account and made it to platinum/diamond.
why is that roku? is it perhaps that i was that good?

No. They just start their placements with a slightly low rank. But their MMR is still the same so they play with the same people they played last season.
There was no hard reset. Just a “reset” to the visible rank. But that isn’t what is used by the match maker. Not sure where they lied about this, but they certainly were rubbish at explaining it.

That certainly is an opinion. But if you noticeably increased your skill level, the games you are in now would be far easier to win.

Yes. Because if you play better, you will win more games. You win more games you climb.
That is the only way to get away from the “bad” new players zone.
No, just skill. Experience will help. An experience player is more likely to know how to synergise with people and what combos work, but ultimately it will be the players skill that shines each match.
It’s a team effort. You can play well and still lose.
