That little stupid bar showing who’s in group with another player is the most toxic crap i’ve seen in any game… duo queue DPS? Well, now you have roughly 80% chance to lose because you just made entire team get uncontrollable anger attack, as for some reason 2 friends picking DPS is taboo… LOGICAL AF
Can we get rid of that crappy bar because it makes stuff toxic?
Or maybe just ban ability to team up with friends who main the same role? This may solve issue… though at that point i’d rather go play different game
Just leave group as soon as you find a game. This is what I always do when I duo Q.
yeah, or blizzard could just remove that little link between players and we wouldn’t have to do that… right?
Or they could add solo queue.
I’d rather know I was up against a 6 stack, just would.

six stacks should have separate queue
Most people playing the game play dps. Which means 1/3 at least. You two taking up the spots means you should probably have another dps main at least. There is highly likely someone going to be playing something they do not like. Also judging by how long it takes to find tanks in find group i imagine the tanks probably do not always play tanks either but are forced to tank. You are making multiple people play stuff they are not comfortable with in many games. So are these people going to be mad. Yes. Will the others on the team comfortable in their roles get mad. Probably. It is very logical. You have the option to find teammates. Do that instead of just searching because then you do not have this issue and you will have friendly teammates almost 100% of the time. People play games for fun. You hogging the dps ruins that for some people and a demoralised team loses more games and wtf is the point in playing if everyone’s in a mood.
As for getting rid of the bar, absolutely not. There is 0 reason to remove it. This is not csgo where you can get booted at the end of the game by a 4 stack. But an awful lot of people complain in this game and you can guarantee a solo player does not have a right old moan at one player in a 5 stack. You can usually ignore stacks that insult you because you know its just them coming up with excuses. But if you do not realise they are a stack and you start taking insults from what you think is different people you feel awful. Nobody ever blames their friends, they blame the randomers. Its important to know which side you are on. It clearly helps with morale and its just nice to know.
Let me tell you something in secret… There is 6 players on team regardless of whether you play with friends or you play alone, if I were to meet friend of mine in the game by accident, nobody would bat an eye that we pick DPS; however in the moment they see that we’re in group… hell breaks loose
As for the blaming and stuff, dude… people gonna blame you anyway. You seriously believe that just because its ‘oh, those two guys are together so that’s why they both blame the same person’ is seriously a thing that helps the game any way?
It kinda goes as following: “ALWAYS BLAME DPS, NEVER BLAME FEMALE GAMER!”
As it stands it just creates a toxic environment… and seriously? I’d rather wait 3 minutes and have good match, than 20 seconds and be placed in team where people are crying before the game even started because - “IT MUST BE 2-2-2 OR I THROW”
It’s not CS:GO so you can’t get booted… sometimes i actually wish it was, when i have a Mei douchebag griefing the team, or reinhardt throwing game on purpose while feeding enemy ults.
Reading your attitude in the forums i can see why people throw when you are in the team

Playing DPS isn’t the issue, playing only DPS is one. If your 2-stack picks 2 DPS but at least one of you is able to flex and actually does so every now and then, no problem would arise. Sure, you don’t HAVE to have 2-2-2, but you probably know that without a main tank, you won’t survive to deal damage and without a healer, that main tank will go down quickly and without an off tank, noone will protect you while the healer takes care of others. Now we’re already at 2-1-3 which is precarious, because Ana for example should never self-heal (Bio Nade is too powerful to waste for that), so that second healer would be great.
There’s a reason why most metas had at least 2 tanks and at least 2 healers - and it’s not because tanks and healers are inherently more powerful, it’s because they are more versatile.
Here’s what I gather from your Overbuff profile: You can’t play support, please never flex to support - no offense (pun!). Your tank play is good though, and you seem to be willing enough to flex to tank when you have to - and it works. Sure, you’re better at DPS, but that’s probably mainly due to practice. So how to deal with toxicity? Well, with being proactive. Use voice chat - say “Hey, I know we’re a 2-stack of DPS, but if need be, we can swap. Just don’t make me swap to support though.” or “I’d like to start off with Widow, and if it doesn’t work out, I’ll swap to Zarya!”
At that point, you’ve already won. You’ve shown your willingness to be a team player but also avoided your worst roles. Sometimes you might have to play off tank, but being positive will often lead to positive responses, and if your DPS actually works, you get to play it more often/for longer.
Judging by your forum appearance though, you might be the sort of person that incites toxicity, seeing how you keep blaming everyone but you and your friend…
