I get that his default model has him holding the hammer pretty high up the handle but why has he never had one where his grip is slightly remodelled to facilitate a weapon with a shorter grip. I understand ow uses silhouettes to identify heros but like it’s rein I don’t think he’d be that easily mistaken and some characters have skins where they have a different silhouette like with kiriko and her twitch drops skin being smaller than her default. We also need a skin with a baseball bat or a golf club or something I don’t see why for the most part his skins are kept to hammers

Because it makes little sense?His skills are based on a hammer with rockets strapped to it. You just wont get the same effect for the ulti if you smash a sword on the ground instead of a hammer. At most the sword would shatter

Cosmetics do have to make somewhat sense for the char.
Otherwise i want mercy wielding a gatling gun while standing on top of a fighter jet
A large ridiculous anime claymore would be weilded with two hands and make sense in the abilities.
I guess the only reason they don’t make sword cosmetics is that the hammer’s hitbox would be mostly invisible in that case.
I can’t think of any other reason not to give him a sword.
Brother he is a giant armoured 7’4 titan of a man in a futuristic rocket suit with a giant melee weapon that has already been turned into an axe and spear it is no so outside of the realm of possibility that they give they funny hammer guy a weapon other than the funny hammer. It’s no more out there as giving mercy a broomstick for a healing staff or making winstons Tesla into a staff or giving torb a water gun, would you claim a water gun for torb is too outlandish because according to his character he shoots molten lava not water so it doesn’t make sense, is that your argument?
