Why have a mature chat function, if you get silenced, suspended for swearing?

I know we can toggle chat filter in the game, but do the forums have that option as well?

you should ask the person that created overwatch 2

also while your at it. ask them why they removed general chat aswell. im pretty sure in blizzards mind we should all be using love emojis and tell each other how cute the word uwu sounds.

Nah, just use polite terms and don’t be hostile.
Just talk to people like they’re real people.
It’s rude to scream cuss words at strangers you pass by in real life, likewise it is rude to do so online.

If you don’t want to live in that social contract of “be polite and people should be polite to you” it’s your choice, and at that point you live with the consequenses of your choice (most likely a silencing in these circumstances)
