What is the point of Reaper nowadays?

i’m gonna say this because it’s a little bit underrated, but reaper has cleave.
and the teleport is sure kinda meh, but you should know that it used to be a lot worse, like it was for all intents and purposes near useless.
He’s a tank buster you donut, That’s why he exists
He can’t tank bust and will just kill himself with his ult as there is a deflecting Genji in every game anyway.

Reaper’s ult is very situational, but if you time and position it well it’s a teamwipe,
And it lasts long enough that it can still kill squishies despite a kiriko suzu.
use the wraith form right and reaper is pretty much unkillable with a bit of support. (Overtimed lijiang once, 2v5. reaper and mercy, got them all and flipped the point. No ults on us. This was in season 1 or 2)
Close range damage is insane, you pretty much take out any tank that dives your team.
I have been playing this guy for a very long time. The fundamental ability reaper has is to harrase enemy players just like when genji throws his shurikens from a distance. he is no different.
The difference would be on how he positions himself when using the teleport ability. If used correctly and unnoticed you can kill 2 - 3 targets Then shift yourself when both teams are near each other in medium range.
If your team is not in medium range, use line of sight then wait for heals or use/find the closest heal pack and or try to escape. Once being healed and regrouped, you keep repeating teleport kills.
You keep doing this if you cant kill the tank in a couple of shots.
