I typically queue with a friend of mine who is low gold, whereas I am mid plat. Pre-season 10 it was easy to find games. Now with the introduction of the wide group system, 20+ minute queue times to no avail. This needs to be changed or reverted.
Perhaps the old queue system (which worked fine) could be considered “narrow”, whereas everything else outside of that could be considered wide.
Yeah, queue times seem to be a bit mad with wide groups.
This is why a solo only mode would be a bad idea.
I think though, they need to change it so wide groups is 10 divisions apart (2 ranks) not 5 divisions.
Yeah, the wide criteria is way too harsh. I love waiting in queue for 15 minutes cause my friend is not the exactly same rank as I am. This wasn’t an issue before, it makes no sense to me why they made it so strict.
Yeah 5 just makes no sense given that a stack has always been 1000sr range. So that’s 10 divisions.
Make anything over that a “wide” group and queue times for people will drop.
