Widowmaker's charge with new health reworks

Hello! The plan to increase the overall heroes health/projectile size is fantastic imo. That said, you have to accurately charge Widow for a headshot based on the hero’s health. She was also just nerfed to have shorter headshot distance. Im worried that by not increasing her damage, range, or decreasing charge time she will no longer be a viable hero.

It’s a fair concern. If she loses her one shot threat, she’s dead.

I hope they release the patch notes asap. Seeing as we’ve already downloaded it. No point waiting to release them now.

Yea I dont like that plan at all tbh. So many balance issues. Some team fights already take ages with all the self healing tanks, lamp, suzu, etc. I even had one recently where someone on both teams died at the beginning and respawned to join the on going fight.

But I think people are under estimating one change… The DPS passive…

whatever, whats changing in the DPS passive?

If you get shot by a DPS, you get 20% less healing.

So… Right now if you have a Mercy yellow beam pocketing you… you will get 55 hps.

In season 9, this will be 44 hps if you are being shot by a DPS.

So that Roadhog who used to live forever… Just shoot him with a Soldier… and boom he gets sod all healing.

Ashe dynamite the whole time… everyone gets 20% less healing while on fire.

and most of the tanks will do more damage. Did some numbers on US, and came up with this for Winston as an example…
“Quick maths… Winston now kills a 200hp target in 3.33 seconds. In season 9, this 200hp becomes 250hp and Winston kills them in (you’ll love this) 3.33 seconds.”

Thats the reload passive or something… im not sure tbh. All i know bigger HP pools need more focus.

Maaan this gonna be fun with solo Q, kids never listen to me, they hear a deep voice they get intimidated. I know tactical stuff… this gonna be rough.

The reload passive is going. Replaced with a healing debuff on targets you shoot.

Ultimately, it won’t make fights last any longer really… but the HP changes will mean you won’t randomly get one shot out of no where.

With all the bullet and projectile size changes. I expect the stats board to show slightly higher damage, slightly lower healing.

The Pharah rework looks like it might be interesting. Zip about faster, but in the air less.
