Wrecking Ball is a problem... still

No singular hero can get as much value as THE RAT. He can roll through your team, doing 50 damage to each hero he hits, displacing them with a power CC also. How is this character still allowed to be 600HP with armour! Adaptive shield is a joke of an ability, a range of 100 to 700HP of shields which don’t give ult charge, what were Blizzard thinking! He has so much individual impact as a character it’s easy to see why most compositions containing a Wrecking Ball are considered viable on ladder. Sigma Ball, Roadhog Ball, Winston Ball. Not to mention the numerous statements from pro players saying how strong he is, why should he still be allowed to be this powerful without repercussions.

because he’s a fat genji designed to get DPS players to play tank

As a Wrecking Ball main. I do think he needs a little nerf. Not huge amount.

CC is not his friend though.

True, CC is not kind to him however the lack of critical spot even when CC’d (excluding sleepdart and hacks) can prove annoying once again when paired with his Adaptive shields

Only in Ball form. But then you just need coordination and kill him as a team.

Or to just leave him asleep and kill others

In which world is he too strong? He is so ez to shut down if you have at least some amount of brain. Don’t complain about those things. There are always meta heroes. The last 2 years in pro play Ball wasn’t really touched except for Chengdu but they were running a lot of creative comps anyways. You’re probably looking for excuses why you can’t climb? My point is that your question or concern is useless, because it doesn’t matter how strong Ball is, it won’t make you a better or worse player. Go look at your own mistakes and work on them instead of worrying about this nonsense

I think people think that because the options to shut him down can easily be dealt with by a good Ball player.

You pick Sombra… the Ball will bait the hack, take it and let his team jump her and make her either trans out or die.

Same or anyone with stuns (Cree, Brig etc),. You press E take the stun and let your team get to work.

Mei is slightly more of an issue, but it is like playing Monkey in to Reaper. Just stay away from him.

The way Ball is played in ranked, is really different to how he is played in pro games. Except for, as you say, Chengdu games (not sure Ameng ever really played the “pro” way lol).

As with any hero, or any hero that counters someone. Practice and coordination are the key things.

there are available counters to everything but good players will outplay the bads many times, thats how it works thats why we play games. Learn to use the counters and git gud I guess.

100%

Which is why, if you think you are good on Ball and the enemy swap to try hard counter you. You shouldn’t necessarily swap. They will spend too much time looking at you. Your team could have a field day.

appart from genji and tracer, they removed their counter because all the mains and pros were Salty how their favorite hero finally had a counter

What? They removed zarya monkey mei brig and cree?

Damn. I’ll just play Ashe then. Pretty decent against Genji.

not genji counters…

Oh ok. I must not be doing it right then.

By the looks of this pster he is most likley one of those who play 100% genji or 100% hanzo and just sits around flaming in the all chat instead of picking sdomething that easily can counter him such as Reaper, Doomfist, Phara, Sombra and since rein now how knockack resistance its quite easy just using him aswell to deal with wreckinball
