Wrongfully banned due to Hyper X N Gen

Hi, I’m still banned. My ban took place on the 10th of June, however my official email notification didn’t actually specify the reason for my ban. It was a general one. I downloaded my data and it also says general. Today I spoke to a GM via Live Chat where I was informed that my ban was based on cheating. I had already tried to appeal the ban believing it was Hyper X N Gen that caused it however this initial appeal was shut down. So today I did the live chat hoping to get a response, however the GM I spoke to informed me that it was cheating and I asked for clarification on this because my email notification and game data just says general, and the GM cut me off and ended the chat. I tried to reconnect, and eventually did and spoke to a lovely kind GM, who was really helpful but informed me that the previous GM had closed my appeal and that it was no longer possible to ever review it again.

I’m honestly not sure what to do. I spoke to Hyper X and was advised to speak in this forum to raise awareness. I’m not sure if it’s some kind of error on their system that meant my account wasn’t picked up for the Hyper X unban, but the official email I received and my account data contradicts the information given to me by the first GM I spoke to on livechat today.

Report the previous gm you spoke to that refused to give you information to someone in general blizzard support, as they should have given you the information you asked for and not terminated the chat.

There’s not a specific way to report them but I have raised a ticket mentioning the specific GM name, hopefully it does something.

I hope so, because they did not behave like a player support should.
The last one did at least try, so a bonus for them.

How can a headset cause a ban ?

It might have an in built program that enhances it’s performance, but the overwatch anti-cheat system picks up on it because it might read through overwatch’s files in an unexpected way.

There was a mass ban of users with Hyper X N Gen installed, it happened on the 10/11 June, I think it’s in the US forums. They have a discord also.

Update: the complaint I submitted in a ticket about the breach of my consumer rights and my complaint about the unfair treatment I received from a specific GM has been ignored and the ticket has been marked as resolved….

Update 2: Follow up: I was unbanned - thank you so much to those who believed me I really appreciate the support!!!
