Wrongfully banned from ow 2

You seriously need to read what you write, you seem to forget most things you post. :man_shrugging:

Point to you on that regard, but you avoided my request to explain how “modding gta makes you cheat on overwatch?”

As this is the situation going on.

Not my fault he keeps changing what he says. I’m just going by what he said first.

I’m going by what he’s said as well. You’re avoiding the request to explain again.

Weren’t you the one arguing about wrongful bans being a thing?

A tool did it’s job by picking up suspicious activity.

Doesn’t mean that it was actually used for cheating though, just a program that could be used for such.

Indeed. It is 100% my fault for leaving it running (I totally forgot about it). Honestly didn’t know it would do anything, so at least I’ve learnt something from it. Have nothing running except OW and Discord. lol.

I did so may make a difference.

As for the tickets everyone I still got the same response even when I linked some of my gameplay to proof I was a high rank player but didn’t matter ig.

I got banned the day of the latest patch (11. April 2023). I honestly don’t have the slightest idea why and tried to appeal. In their reply, Blizzard said there has been a full investigation leading to the conclusion that there had been a direct breach of the Terms of Use. No further information was given.
We now consider this matter closed and would not look to enter into further discussion on the subject.
I bought the game four years ago, never had an issue since then, and now this without any previous notifications. Kind of a bummer, as you can imagine.
How would you proceed in a situation like this?

@Ivy , I have to disagree with you, its ridiculous to doubt in company that is 70b

If you spent money on anything in-game you could attempt the legal route and demand payback of the money invested as it was taken away from you for a reason specified by Blizzard that is however factually wrong (which may be the core of the legal dispute).

Depending on your country, even if their TOS supposedly give them a “blanco cheque” to “do what they want” this will not necessarily apply in every country outside of the USA and might be legally invalid. There have been enough cases (facebook) of multinational conglomerates that have had invalid ToS and where courts in the end judged by common reason a la “yeah, no, you CAN’T just do with your users whatever you want, sorry”.

You might be right. But I don’t have the resources to go against them legally, nor do I have enough motivation. Honestly, I just want to play the game and my question was more in the direction of: Have people previously been able to recover their account once the appeal has been rejected? Have more people experienced this lately and can we act as a group to get our acconts back? Can I open up another account and play or will they ban it again?

They aren’t.

The first email would have told you the “reason”. Also in the EULA that you agree to there is a clause that says they can remove your access to and Activision Blizzard title for no reason. Spending money on something isn’t a factor. You literally have zero legal legs to stand on.

Take the L. Start a new account if you still want to play, or if you don’t happy hunting in greener pastures.

Its so frustrating man getting wrongfully banned just because of the mass false reports you get. Just because they lost they agreed to report me for chaeting.
