The title says it all. I was playing koth in Nepal, i prepared my bubbles against Sima’s ult. I bubble myself and Ana while me, her, and Brigitte get lifted and smashed still taking damage. I’m just going to assume this has been common knowledge and im the lucky one not to know about it, however, it’s still odd. Shouldn’t Zayra’s bubbles shield incoming damage? Including Sigma’s ult. I reviewed my replay and noticed this.
I believe this would just make sense, what do you guys think?
Edit: And thank you CAKEsup for the response, wish I could reply to your comment but this is all I can do for now, as well as Art3mis and the other person with the good question lol xD

You have to bubble right before you hit the ground 4hed
In all seriousness, sigma’s ult interacts weird with zarya’s bubble. Don’t block the initial cast with it, wait until you’re in the air, then bubble on the way down.

Good tip, does the initial cast do any damage or just the drop?

The ultimate lifts all targets into the air, immobilising them like a Zarya Grav. Then it drops them, dealing half their maximum health in damage. Zarya bubbles will only block the damage portion, they can’t stop you being lifted. I advise getting out of the way if you don’t want to fly.

The initial cast does 50. The slam jam does -50% of their max possible health.
If it’s inevitable that you’ll get caught, bubble as you go DOWN, not up

Also if you were curious, The first portion of Sigma’s ultimate, the part right when he yells "Het universum zingt voor mij (the universe sings to me in Dutch), you have a second to cancel his ultimate if you stun him. The part where he’s aiming the ultimate before he left clicks is considered to be channeling. This requires some prediction, kinda like stopping an earthshatter, but it’s possible!

Did you guys know if an enemy Zarya and Sigma both ult you at the same time you stay glued to the Grav on the ground and not the Gravitic Flux in the air?
