How can I most easily play against my child in our home? We have machines and connectivity, but I find the options all a bit bewildering. Back when Starcraft, Broodwar, and Starcraft II and Wings first came out we would simply set up a game for others to join.

Try to open up an lobby of the map you want to play with your child, open up a whisper message and type [Lobby], with the brackets.
Your child will be able to join the lobby by simply clicking the yellow texted name of the lobby you are in.

thanks LOL we just want to duke it out a bit 55 vs 11 … she has taken to it like a duck to water, so I expect a good match - if I can figure out how to set it up.
