Can't log into SC2 for the first time. Stuck on "AUTHENTICATION" "Connecting..." after picking the character name

Hi.
I’m trying to log into an account for the first time:

  1. I enter valid email and password, and then press “Log In” button.
  2. “AUTHENTICATION” “Connecting…” modal window appears, and almost immediately another modal window “CREATE CHARACTER” appears on top of it (with AUTHENTICATION still visible on the background).
  3. I pick the name and enter in the input. “CREATE CHARACTER” window disappears. The screen then is stuck on “AUTHENTICATION” “Connecting…”.

I can reproduce the same by selecting another region before logging in. If I enter wrong password the application says “Your password is incorrect”.
