"Graphics device not available" message. Nothing works

I’m running on Windows 8 (my laptop has issues upgrading), with a Nvidia GeForce 750M. After installing some windows updates, starcraft started showing this message. It also started around the same time I got an alert about my power supply as “not being recognized” on startup.
Whenever I restore the system to a previous state, the game runs well untill the update comes up again.

I’ve tried several fixes I found around here:
-Trying to update graphic card
-Restoring graphic card settings
-Restoring game settings
-Adding command arguments in settings
-Disabling security programs
-Selecting “high performance Nvidia processor”

Could you double-check that your intel drivers are up to date as well? It sounds as though graphics switching may not be occurring and this is causing your issues.

Likewise for your Nvidia drivers, after updating perform a clean install of the graphics drivers (64bit):

  • Choose custom installation
  • Choose install without GeForce experience
  • Untick the 3D driver components (if listed)
  • Click clean install
  • Continue and complete the installation as per normal

If the issue persists, please upload your system files to pastebin.com and reply with the links to the files using the preformatted text option to encapsulate the links.
