Making "Fan-Art" Game in StarCraft II Universe

Hi all. Hope this is a right place to ask, if not - please redirect me, if possible.
A bit of story: As a big Fan of Blizzard Games in general and StarCraft II Series in particular, I got inspired and at some point I started learning GameDev. With Zero experience in GameDev, Art, texturing etc. - I started from scratch from the very basic aspects of coding, drawing, sounds, and game assets creation. I ended up with some knowledge in GameDev that (I think) allows me to make a game by my own. Always have had this idea of creating a game (not a fluffy-bird-type c***p) with every single part of it created by myself. This is where my StarCraft II fan side meets with the human desire to create
This game idea came up to me after the “Legacy Of The Void” was released. Thought that would be really cool if LotV would have a mini-game like it was in “Wings Of Liberty”, “Lost Viking” mini-game that is accessible from the Hyperion cantina.
The idea is to create and publish the “Lost Phoenix” top-down space shooter arcade that has a small story behind it. Absolutely free and accessible for everyone who is interested. Platforms: For now it is Windows and Mac (can also include Linux). With some minor changes it can be also ported to iOS and Android.
From the development perspective obviously there are a lot of content to create and polish but it is more of time-consuming then a question. With the passion I have - it can be done at some point
The questions I have are more “Legal” related. Even if all of the game assets (code, ships, animations, UI, textures, shaders etc) are created by me - big portion of that content in one way or another is a part of StarCraft II Universe and its Story.
The game is almost at Demo stage. Main part of coding is done and it is mostly a matter of routine work of creating assets and putting them together. On top of the routine - it is the most time-consuming part. This is a huge time investment for me not only because of the amount of work needed to be done but also because I have personal life (wife, kids and a full-time job). I simply cannot invest so much time in the project that no-one will see life not even saying about actually playing it :frowning:
So the very first and main question - Is it possible to publish such game obviously with Blizzard permission? Is it possible to get permission from Blizzard or at least start communicating on that matter? Does Blizzard company even bother to review such “Fan Art”? Or gives some feedback on what must be changed in the game in order to make it possible to publish? If so - where I can apply for such “Fan Art” review and/or who can I contact to get more details on that matter?
And general question for SCII Fans: Would anyone be interested in playing such game, considering it will be absolutely free?

Thanks in advance.

Fanart is best done on a forgivness not permission basis. Very few companies like to sanction use of their IP, but on the flip side also don’t like ‘oppressing’ something that’s become popular (and if it’s not popular it won’t hit their attention to begin with).

So by asking you may have shot yourself in the foot, with all good intentions. Hopefully Blizzard are slightly more savvy than the average company, but lawyers are still lawyers.

And yes, it sounds worth a look to be sure.
