Problems with casters

Hi,

I’m new to the game and I’m having some trouble using my casters.

  1. I set up Rapid Fire as per numerous youtube tutorials by adding an alternate hotkey(J) to Unit Management->Choose Ability or AI Target.
    I select my ravagers, press Z for casting (I’m using grid) and J, and only one ravager will fire, as if I had just left-clicked once.

  2. I can’t seem to be able to stop banelings from exploding on contact.

I think I’m missing something. Can you please help me?
