Hello
I am trying to play Starcraft 2 on my Mac Studio with M4 Max SoC using Thunderbolt to connect to a Asus ROG Swift PG32UCDM monitor. macOS is updated to the latest version 15.3.2 (24D2082) and Starcraft 2 is also the latest version.
I also have a Macbook Pro M3 Pro with the exactly the same OS/Starcraft version and it works perfectly fine using the same monitor.
With the Mac Studio however, the game is crashing in the first 5 minutes of gameplay. It starts just fine and runs perfectly at 120fps but a few minutes later the mouse pointer stops moving properly and all animations freeze. Audio is still played in the background but the game is uncontrollable. It is also not possible to quit the game or exit in any way - the only solution is a hard reset using the button on the computer.
I have tried changing settings (resolution, game quality, windowed fullscreen/regular fullscreen) but issue happens with all combinations. I also tried the “Reset game options” from the Battle.net app to no avail.
Anyone experiencing the same? Other games run just fine on this machine. Starcraft 2 is the only app behaving like this.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
