The tracker is not responding

Have dusted off my late 2009 iMac and replaced the HD with a new SSD.

Am trying to install my StarCraft II CD but after the initial install from the disc it will not complete the install by downloading the patches.

I get the message “The tracker is not responding. Lost Internet connection”

Anyone manage to resolve this issue?

Thanks

I have looked all over the internet for a fix. Did you ever find a work around? Any help would be appreciated because all the troubleshooting blizzard suggested did work. Thanks in advance and sorry for the bother…I know this is and ancient post.

I’m using and HP I7core and blow the minimum requirements out of the water…sorry I didn’t mention that, but didn’t want tot get Mac Specific fix or something weird like that…

Please do not necro old posts. If you do not see an active post for your specific issue it is best to create a new post.

Now if your issue is similar to what the OP described, the answer is. Do not use the Disk to install the game, the data on that disk is so far out of date that is is useless. You may have uninstall or manually delete the version you installed.

Install the battle.net desktop app from the website, switch to the Starcraft 2 tab and install from there. The licenses for any purchased version of Starcraft II are tied to the battle.net account you used for the purchase.
