- “Warp Prism cost increased from 200 to 250 minerals.”
- “Warp Prism pickup range decreased from 6 to 5.”
Currently warp prism is one of the most broken units in the game (if not the most broken…). This “proposed balance change” is not a nerf.
People forget - but not me - that the warp prism got 2 indirect buffs in the latest patches.
First
The robo cost got decreased by 50 minerals. If the toss goes for chargelot allin, or dt’s or archon drops they got a 50 mineral cheaper unit than before.
Now you want to make the warp prism costs 50 minerals more. You have to admit, that the robo cost decrease was a very bad idea. Revert this change and add gas cost to the warp prism.
Second
The warp gate research time got decreased by 14 seconds. This made all the warp prism based gw timings stronger. So currently the warp prism provides fast reinforcements and free blink to all protoss units. The 2 together is too much. The 1 range pickup range decrease is not a nerf. This will affect only archon drops in a minimal way.
Time to act and deliver real nerfs to this unit.
Constructive ideas:

Add gas cost, make it costs 100/100/2

Decrease speed and/or hp. Also fun fact noone gets prism speed because its already too fast.

You no longer can deploy the warp prism if the cargo bay is loaded. You can no longer pick up units, if the warp prism is deployed.
PS.: also nerf the charged zealot cause its broken.
