No new general topics for SCII - can’t find forums for WCIII - what happened?

Just abandon all RTS games because there’s no continued profit? I don’t know what to say. I’m pretty sad - SCII Warchests had potential until Legacy of the Void made the game legimately unfun to play. I don’t understand how people can lose sight of what made Brood Wars so great - the ability to macro massive armies and fuel war machines - and not balance the game around that.

I had some hope until Legacy of the Void - when they just flat removed FFA like anyone is going to be able to consistently make an FFA lobby while at the same time making FFA completely unviable due to the lack of resources and proper FFA maps.

It seems like the will to make this game good just went out of the staff after enough money had been made - due to no fault of their own I hope. Legacy of the Void seems like a pretty concerted attempt to make PvP play unbearable because the economy is ruined and the game isn’t fun - but hey you can PAY FOR CO-OP COMMANDERS.

I actually completely agree with you. Anecdotal fact is that I find the multiplayer vs AI in WoL and HotS modes of the game to be a lot more fun than what it is at LotV. Sure, some units behaviour and some new additions are cool to have in LotV (the protoss battery for example), but the gameplay in general is more fun and enjoyable in WoL and HotS.

HotS was amazing. Including the maps, so many beautiful snow maps. Legacy of The void is a problem, too fast, no FFA, rarely cool maps, Human always bio etc.
