When ever i tried to start starcraft 2, i always get this message, “error
there is a temporary outage of the Battle.net service. please try again later.
ok” why is that and how to fix this problem?
Clear Cache and Settings Clearing the Battle.net cache can help resolve these types of errors. To clear the cache:
- Close the Battle.net application.
- Navigate to the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net
- Delete the files in this folder. This will help Battle.net start fresh.
Firewall and Antivirus Check Make sure your firewall or antivirus software is not blocking access to Battle.net or StarCraft 2. Try adding Battle.net and StarCraft 2 to the whitelist (safe applications) in your security software to ensure they are not being restricted.
Same issue here on my wife’s computer- mine logs in fine- same network, same settings. Tried all the suggested “fixes” posted over the last 2-3 years of this problem happening to people. Nothing helps. Can log into the EU server fine.
I have solution. Switch to EU, login user name and password. Game asks to create character, hit cancel, switch to US, login again and it should work.
